Scope of the Role
Goldbach Consulting, part of the Goldbach Group, is seeking a highly motivated Consultant for European Funds to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects for Romania’s public administration and private sectors, providing expert consultancy in accessing, managing, and implementing projects funded by the European Union.
What we are looking for:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for the identification, preparation, and implementation of EU-funded projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, urban development, and social programs.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including funding applications, feasibility studies, business plans, and financial reports.
- Support clients through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with EU regulations, funding guidelines, and national legislation.
- Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and risk management, providing solutions to any technical or administrative challenges.
- Collaborate with public authorities, private clients, and funding bodies to facilitate successful project approvals and fund disbursements.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to EU funds management, procurement processes, and reporting requirements.
- Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure project compliance and performance standards are met.
- Promote sustainability and ESG principles in all project phases, ensuring environmentally and socially responsible project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Administration, Law, Finance, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EU funds consultancy, technical assistance, or project management.
- In-depth knowledge of EU funding programs, application processes, and financial management of EU projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in working with public administration and private sector clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Project Management tools.
- Fluency in Romanian and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or EU funds management is a plus.
